In 2014, I co-founded and launched Winter Stations, an annual international design competition which transforms Toronto’s waterfront with temporary public art installations during the winter months. Along with my partners RAW Design and Ferris & Associates, I worked with local communities, the City of Toronto, and private development sponsors to get buy-in and financial support.
In its first year alone, we recieved hundreds of submissions from around the world and received the City of Toronto’s Urban Design Masterplan award in 2015. Featured in prominent design and culture publications, including Monocle, Azure, and Vice, Winter Stations’ success led to a spin-off, Ice Breakers. The exhibition continues to grow to this day.
